COD removal agent Due to its excellent performance in treating wastewater, it is widely recognized by various industries. However, two issues remain a concern for wastewater treatment plants:

One, How safe are COD removal agents? Which COD removal agents can cause combustion and explosion? How to prevent it?

Two, COD Does the removal agent meet national wastewater treatment requirements? Will it cause other elemental pollution or indirect secondary pollution?

In recent years, the country has become increasingly strict in punishing polluting factories, focusing on controlling environmental pollution. To address these concerns, from a chemical perspective, let's introduce COD the safety of the removal agent, whether its use is compliant, and whether it will cause secondary pollution.

COD removal agents are divided into two categories One, COD oxidants: At room temperature, any oxidant that can oxidize and decompose organic matter truly reduces COD in wastewater, such as sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, ozone, sodium persulfate, potassium permanganate, etc. Precautions: Oxidants should not be stored with reducing agents and should be kept away from flammable materials. Since oxidants will remain in the water, the impact on subsequent processes and the environment should be considered.
Two, COD coagulants mainly include inorganic coagulants and organic coagulants. Inorganic coagulants: PAC (polyaluminum chloride), polyferric sulfate, ferric chloride, aluminum sulfate, ferrous sulfate, and other inorganic salts. Organic coagulants: polyamines, dicyandiamide flocculants, cationic quaternary ammonium salts, etc. Coagulants do not pose a risk of combustion or explosion, nor do they cause secondary water pollution, so wastewater treatment plants can use them with confidence.
Selection of COD Removal Agents When wastewater COD is dominated by water-soluble small-molecule organic matter, oxidative COD removal agents should be selected. When wastewater COD is dominated by high-molecular organic matter, COD coagulants should be selected.
Three main characteristics of COD coagulants: 1. Fast reaction speed, it can dissolve and react in a very short time, greatly shortening the treatment process and producing good treatment results. 2. Excellent treatment effect, truly targeting enterprises with COD exceeding standards for wastewater research, such as customized agents, which can truly help enterprises achieve wastewater treatment, turning wastewater clear, and meeting national emission requirements. 3. Environmentally friendly and pollution-free, it can react chemically with the wastewater after adding the agent, and will not cause secondary pollution after addition.
