Correct maintenance and upkeep of self-priming centrifugal pumps

1. Check the self-priming centrifugal pump pipeline and connections for looseness. Manually rotate the self-priming centrifugal pump to check if it is flexible.

2. Add bearing lubricating oil to the bearing housing. The oil level should be at the center line of the oil level gauge. The lubricating oil should be replaced or supplemented in time.

3. Unscrew the priming plug on the pump body of the self-priming centrifugal pump and fill it with priming water (or slurry).

4. Close the gate valve of the water outlet pipe and the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum gauge.

5. Briefly start the motor to check if the motor rotation is correct.

6. Start the motor. When the self-priming centrifugal pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum pump. After the appropriate pressure is displayed, gradually open the gate valve and check the motor load at the same time.

7. Try to control the flow rate and head of the self-priming centrifugal pump within the range indicated on the nameplate to ensure that the self-priming centrifugal pump operates at the highest efficiency point, so as to achieve the maximum energy-saving effect.

8. During the operation of the self-priming centrifugal pump, the bearing temperature cannot exceed the ambient temperature by 35°C, and the maximum temperature must not exceed 80°C.

9. If any abnormal sound is found in the self-priming centrifugal pump, stop it immediately and check the cause.

10. When the self-priming centrifugal pump is to be stopped, close the gate valve and pressure gauge first, and then stop the motor.

11. Within the first month of operation of the self-priming centrifugal pump, the lubricating oil should be changed after 100 hours, and then once every 500 hours.

1 2. Regularly adjust the packing gland to ensure that the leakage in the packing chamber is normal (it is advisable to drip).

13. Regularly check the wear of the bushing, and replace it in time if the wear is large.

14. When the self-priming centrifugal pump is used in cold winter, after stopping, the drain plug at the bottom of the pump body should be unscrewed to drain the medium to prevent freezing and cracking.

15. If the self-priming centrifugal pump is not used for a long time, it should be completely disassembled, the water should be wiped dry, and the rotating parts and joints should be coated with grease and assembled.
