Main reasons for slow water production in reverse osmosis membrane

High-pressure reverse osmosis membranes can be used in water purification equipment. However, users may find that after a period of use, the water output volume is reduced, and the water flow rate slows down, directly affecting the efficiency. Today, let's introduce the main reasons for the slow water production of high-pressure reverse osmosis membranes.
I. Membrane Fouling
Factors Affecting Membrane Fouling
1. The membrane has been in use for a long time, some for two or three years, or even longer. According to the instructions, the membrane's lifespan is one and a half to two years. The membrane's lifespan should consider water usage and raw water quality factors; water usage and raw water quality are generally proportional to the membrane's lifespan.
2. The pre-filter cartridge is not replaced for a long time, causing the water quality concentration inside the machine to accumulate, far worse than the water quality before entering the machine.
3. Poor raw water quality, with a low concentrate ratio, causing blockage of the concentrate solenoid valve or flushing combination valve, resulting in the machine not discharging concentrate or discharging very little concentrate.

II. Filter Cartridge Blockage
If the filter cartridge is used for too long without replacement, it will cause water blockage, reducing water flow, and long-term use can pollute the entire water purification system. Therefore, users should develop a good habit of regularly replacing the filter cartridge. Generally, standardized water purifier manufacturers will not overcharge, and the cost of replacing the cartridge is not high.
III. Post-Activated Carbon Blockage
This usually occurs after replacing a new post-activated carbon filter. Due to the large amount of carbon powder, it is not flushed away. Therefore, granular activated carbon filter cartridges should not be filled too full; space should be reserved for filling, ensuring water flow and considering the expansion coefficient of the activated carbon itself.
IV. Low Temperature
The water production rate of the membrane is greatly related to the temperature, not exceeding 40 degrees, not lower than 5 degrees. The generally suitable temperature is 25 degrees. 25 Taking 3% degrees as the standard, generally, for every one-degree decrease, the water production will decrease
