【 Summary Description 】Water softener, as the name suggests, is a device that reduces water hardness, mainly removing calcium and magnesium ions from the water. When the influent is deep well water or the water source has high hardness, the function of the water softener is to remove the calcium and magnesium ions in the water, reducing their content. During the water softening process, the water softener cannot reduce the total salt content in the water. It is widely used in hot water boiler systems, heat exchange systems, industrial cooling systems, central air conditioning systems, and other water-using equipment systems.

 

Water softener equipment, as the name suggests, is equipment that reduces water hardness, mainly removing calcium and magnesium ions from the water. When the influent is deep well water or the water source has a high hardness, the function of the water softener equipment is to remove the calcium and magnesium ion content in the water, reducing the calcium and magnesium ions in the water. During the water softening process, the water softener equipment cannot reduce the total salt content in the water. It is widely used in hot water boiler systems, heat exchange systems, industrial cooling systems, central air conditioning systems, and other water-using equipment systems.

1. Place the resin tank and salt tank on a solid foundation and ensure that the tanks are level.

 

2. Securely install the lower distributor at the bottom of the central pipe, then insert it into the center of the resin tank. Cut the upper end of the central pipe 0.5 mm below the tank opening and bevel it. Then seal the central pipe opening with tape to prevent resin from leaking in.

 

3. Evenly fill the resin tank with resin. After filling the resin, remove the sealing tape from the central pipe, and rinse and wipe clean the upper part of the central pipe and the end face of the resin tank. Apply silicone oil to the seal between the central pipe and the controller.

 

4. Install the upper distributor onto the control valve, then insert the central pipe from the upper distributor into the control valve. Carefully rotate the control valve clockwise until it is tightened onto the resin tank interface (or fixed with a flange connection). Ensure that the central pipe is inserted into the valve body.

Note: The upper distributor and control valve, central pipe, and lower distributor and central pipe must be tightly sealed to prevent resin from escaping. The central pipe and control valve must be tightly sealed to prevent leakage; otherwise, hard water will leak.

 

5. Assemble the salt valve

① Insert the small copper fitting connecting the brine pipe and the valve body into the brine pipe, then insert the stainless steel filter screen into the small copper fitting; the end with the filter screen is connected to the brine inlet of the control valve, ensuring no air leaks.

② Place the salt valve into the salt well of the salt tank, then connect it to the plastic elbow; the salt water pipe length should not exceed 2m, and good sealing must be maintained; otherwise, it will affect the regeneration effect of the water softener.

 

6. The length of the drain pipe should not exceed 6m, and soft plastic pipes should not be used to prevent pipe deformation and affect drainage.

 

7. Pipe connection

① Connect the inlet and outlet pipes according to the inlet and outlet arrow marks on the control valve. For flow-type regeneration controllers, the flow meter must be installed at the outlet.

② The inlet and outlet pipes should be equipped with pressure gauges and manual valves, and a bypass valve should also be installed. A sampling valve should also be installed before the outlet pipe valve. A Y-type filter is generally installed after the inlet pipe valve to prevent impurities in the pipe from blocking the valve body and causing the equipment to malfunction.
