Desalination equipment refers to the process of removing strong electrolytes from water while also removing weak electrolytes (such as carbon dioxide) to a certain extent. Desalination treatment processes can also be called pure water treatment processes. Different industries have different water quality requirements; generally, the resistivity is between 0.1 and 18.2 megohm.cm. Reverse osmosis desalination equipment is commonly used in the market.

Reverse Osmosis Industrial Reverse Osmosis Equipment :
Reverse osmosis desalination equipment is commonly used industrial water treatment equipment. It utilizes membrane separation filtration technology driven by pressure difference. Through the selective permeability of the membrane, water is separated from inorganic salts, heavy metal ions, organic matter, and colloids in the water. The process structure includes: pretreatment system, reverse osmosis system, electrical control system, and disinfection and purification system.
Advantages of Industrial Reverse Osmosis Equipment:
1. The treatment process does not require heating water. It operates at room temperature, with low energy consumption and low production water costs.
2. The equipment fully considers the particularity of production needs. This design is small in size, light in weight, easy to install, and highly adaptable. It can be installed in narrow spaces such as corridors, and the power supply is widely used.
3. The equipment is simple to operate and easy to maintain. As long as there is electricity and water, clean water can be supplied immediately after startup.
4. It uses high-quality industrial reverse osmosis membranes, which are stable and reliable in performance. The high-pressure pump uses a dedicated industrial reverse osmosis water pump, and is designed with high and low-pressure protection devices to ensure the safety and reliability of the equipment.
Mixed Bed Desalination Equipment:
The traditional desalination treatment process is a full ion exchange process of pretreatment + cation bed + anion bed + mixed bed.
Anion and cation resins are filled into the same exchanger at a fixed ratio, and they are mixed evenly before operation. When the raw water passes through the mixed ion exchange bed, the generated hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions immediately form water with very low solubility. The ion exchange process terminal ultrapure water device can increase the water resistivity to more than 18MΩ.㎝, meeting the user's high-quality water needs.
This process is relatively mature, but it also has certain limitations. Due to the limitations of pretreatment and ion exchange processes, compared with reverse osmosis, it has drawbacks such as large equipment space, complex operation, frequent maintenance, unstable effluent water quality, and the addition of flocculants during the process, consuming a large amount of acid and alkali, and causing certain environmental pollution.
EDI Desalination Equipment:
This is a technology that integrates ion exchange technology and electrodialysis technology. In this process, mixed ion exchange resin is used to adsorb anions and cations in the water, and these adsorbed ions are removed under the action of direct current through anion and cation exchange membranes. In this process, no additional acid or alkali needs to be added because the ion exchange resin is continuously regenerated electrically. This technology can replace traditional ion exchange devices and continuously produce ultrapure water with a resistivity as high as 18MΩ·cm.
