Time-type Regeneration Controller Regeneration Date Jumper:
Each thin piece on the jumper represents one day; the piece at the red pointer indicates the current day. The regeneration date can be set by pulling out the pieces on the jumper to reveal their upper ends. (For example, if all pieces are pushed back, and then every other piece is pulled out, the regeneration will occur every other day).


2. Flow Regeneration Controller
Flow Regeneration Controller Periodic Water Production Setting Method:
Pull out the flow soft shaft, hold down the flow outer dial, lift the flow scale dial, align the desired periodic water production with the small white dot on the panel, release to engage the gear. Then, manually rotate the flow dial to align the set periodic water production with the flow indicator arrow on the panel, and reinsert the flow soft shaft.


3. Manual Regeneration Procedure Start Method:
When the water hardness exceeds the standard, manually rotate the manual regeneration wheel clockwise. The water softener will start the regeneration procedure and complete a regeneration cycle according to the set work steps until it returns to the working state (producing soft water). Each work step name will be displayed in the notch of the manual regeneration wheel.

Softened Water Equipment Maintenance   1. Operation and Maintenance
The following maintenance should be performed during the operation of a fully automatic water softener: Ensure stable input voltage and current to prevent damage to the electrical control device. A sealed cover should be installed on the outside of the electrical control device to prevent moisture and water immersion. Regularly add solid granular table salt (do not add refined salt or iodized salt) to the salt tank. The salt solution in the salt tank must be kept in a supersaturated state. When adding salt, be careful not to spill solid granular salt into the salt well to prevent salt bridges from forming on the salt valve and blocking the salt suction pipe. Because solid granular salt contains a certain amount of impurities, a large amount of impurities will accumulate at the bottom of the salt tank, blocking the salt valve. Therefore, the impurities at the bottom of the salt tank should be cleaned regularly. During cleaning, open the drain valve at the bottom of the salt tank and rinse with clean water until no impurities flow out. The cleaning cycle of the salt tank should be determined according to the impurity content of the solid granular salt. Regularly check the airtightness of the injector and salt suction pipe to prevent leakage from affecting the regeneration effect.
Disassemble the water softener annually to clean the upper and lower water distributors and impurities in the quartz sand cushion layer, check the resin consumption and exchange capacity, replace severely aged resin, and use hydrochloric acid solution to revive iron-poisoned resin.


2. Maintenance During Shutdown Before long-term shutdown, the resin should be fully regenerated and converted to the sodium form for wet preservation. During summer shutdown (e.g., water softeners for heating boilers are generally shut down for several months in summer), the water softener should be flushed at least once a month to prevent the growth of microorganisms in the exchange tank, causing the resin to mildew and clump. If mildew is found, sterilization treatment can be performed. Generally, soak in a 1% formaldehyde solution for several hours, then rinse with water until there is no formaldehyde odor. Winter shutdown should take anti-freezing measures to prevent the water in the resin from freezing and causing the resin to expand, crack, and break. The resin can be stored in a brine solution, and the concentration of the brine should be adjusted according to the temperature.
