Daily Maintenance

Regularly clean the surface of the purified water equipment to remove dust, oil, and dirt, keeping the equipment clean.

Conduct irregular spot checks to ensure that all devices in the water system are intact, that the water supply facilities are unobstructed, that there are no loose joints or water leaks, and that there is no abnormal heating of the water pump motor. Relevant personnel from the equipment department should conduct regular, timed, and fixed-point comprehensive inspections of the purified water equipment, especially for easily worn parts, to identify potential faults in advance and address them promptly.

If the company is unable to troubleshoot and repair the equipment promptly, it can contact the purified water equipment manufacturer for guidance or on-site repair. After maintenance and repair, the "Equipment Maintenance Record" should be completed.

Replace Consumables in a Timely Manner

Regularly replace quartz sand, activated carbon, resin, RO membrane, filter cartridges, and other consumables according to the condition of the raw water and the system's preset replacement cycle. Based on equipment usage, disassemble, clean, repair, or replace some parts to ensure that all components of the water system are in good operating condition and improve the quality of the produced water. For example, the filter cartridges of the security filter usually need 1~3 months of disassembly and cleaning. If the treatment effect is still poor after disassembly and cleaning, it is recommended to replace them.

Improve the Professional Skills of Operators

Train operators and allow them to work only after passing the assessment. On the one hand, operators and maintenance personnel need to attach importance to purified water equipment; on the other hand, they should strictly follow the operating instructions during practice to reduce human errors that may damage the purified water equipment or affect the quality of the produced water.

Strictly Control Various Factors to Improve the Quality of Produced Water

Raw water quality changes with the seasons, so sampling and testing are usually conducted quarterly, and a raw water quality report is provided. Strictly control the incoming water quality to meet the incoming water requirements to avoid affecting the stable operation of the purification system.

Real-time monitoring of the total incoming water volume, discharge volume, temperature, pressure, and flow rate of the purified water equipment ensures that they are within the system's allowable range to avoid affecting the good performance of the water system.

The purified water equipment should be flushed each time it is started and shut down, and the operating parameters should be recorded. Effective protection measures should be taken for long-term shutdown protection and short-term shutdown to prevent the growth of microorganisms and the formation of biofilms that affect the quality of the produced water. When short-term shutdown is required during holidays, the system should be shut down, and RO device and EDI device valves should be closed to prevent air from entering the system. For purified water equipment that is shut down for a long time, a CIP cleaning system should be used, and a 1% sodium bisulfite solution should be configured, RO membrane shell, and the RO system's front and rear valves should be closed; the water in the water tank and pipes should be completely drained, and the main power supply and main water inlet valve should be closed.
